Insult to Injury

After Metamora received an AP #1 ranking in Joliet Cath-less 5A class. This was starting to look like the year for the mighty Redbirds, but as fate would have it running back Rick Alvis (#40) was sidelined late in the 1st quarter of a nothing-nothingGeneseo, Metamora game.

Alvis was taken to the hospital for X-rays on his wrist. Which if broken, most likely will keep him from running the ball, if not playing for the regular season.

To only make matters worse for the Redbirds, the were shutout by the Maple Leafs, 17-0.
