Week #1 vs. Kankakee (McNamara) 1-0
8/27/2005

Emmanuel Garner tries to pick up some more yardage to add to the 2 TDs he had in Dunbar's 35-14 loss to Bishop McNamara.

Endzone All Green

Chicago (Solider Field) - The Mighty Men of Dunbar looked to be poised for victory as things got underway in the second of three games at Solider Field between Catholic League & Public League teams. That was until Dominique Green (RB 5'11 215 jr.) decided to tear off a chuck of Solider Field sod.

Dunbar capitalized early on some Bishop Mac turnovers. Midway through the first an Irish fumble at their own 25 would lead to a Dunbar TD, on a one yard dive by Emmanuel Garner. Garner would get the Mighty Men's second TD of the day as well putting them up 14-7 at the half.

However, it would be all Bishop Mac in the second half, as Green would score his second TD of the day, tying the game up at 14 each, on a 19 yard run just 2 minutes in to the second half. Caleeb Matheny would add another to start off the fourth quarter on a 23 yard reception from QB Tim Kerouac, making the score 21-14.

While the Irish frustrated the Dunbar offense, Green was busy doing the same to their defense as he would rattle of two more TD runs of 23 & 38 yards to cap off the Irish's 21 point 4th quarter.

Green who had started been a tailback in preseason was moved to fullback to help spread out the defense, according to Irish head coach Rich Zinanni.
