Wildcats Lead To Big

Chicago (Hanson Stadium) - It didn't take long for The Lake View Wildcats to put this game out of reach after they built up a 26 to 0 lead after a 16 yard TD scamper by Ivan Vargas (120 yds rushing, 3 TD's) at 9:01 of the second Quarter.

After Foreman recieved the opening kickoff and went three and out, Lake View QB Bill Mark Boat Jr. (10 for 15, 174 yds and 3 TD's - 1 of them rushing) capped off a 2:13 second, 58 yard drive with a 28 yard lightning bolt to a wide open #81, Luis Barrera ( 6 catches for 100 yds and 1 TD,) for the first score of the game.

Despite being held to 266 yards of total offense, committing five turnovers and being flagged for 85
yards in penalties, Foreman didn't back down as they reeled off 14 points just before the half to cut the
lead to 26 - 14.

The Hornets first score came at 7:15 of the second quarter when #20, Jamal Miller, emerged from a sea of Wildcat jerseys and hurled a pin point, desperation pass to #21, Jeremie Groves ( 69 rush, 91 rec, 10 ret - 170 yds and 2 TD's for the game) who then blew past everybody on the field for an 81 yard TD.

The Hornet's defense, who were without their defensive standout, Maurice Thomas, was led by #51,
Juan Santiago and allowed 402 yards of offensive to the Wildcats. Santiago recoded six tackles, forced two fumbles and recovered one.

Other scores in this one sided game came on a 57 yard TD catch by Lake View's Jeremy Gipson, a 20 yard run by Jamal Miller and a 1 yd TD run by Marvel Tate for Foreman.
