Week #1 vs.Chicago
(Lake View) 1-0 Wildcats Lead To Big Chicago (Hanson Stadium) - It didn't take long for The Lake View Wildcats to put this game out of reach after they built up a 26 to 0 lead after a 16 yard TD scamper by Ivan Vargas (120 yds rushing, 3 TD's) at 9:01 of the second Quarter. After Foreman recieved the opening kickoff and went three and out, Lake View QB Bill Mark Boat Jr. (10 for 15, 174 yds and 3 TD's - 1 of them rushing) capped off a 2:13 second, 58 yard drive with a 28 yard lightning bolt to a wide open #81, Luis Barrera ( 6 catches for 100 yds and 1 TD,) for the first score of the game. Despite being held to 266 yards of total offense, committing five turnovers and being flagged for 85 The Hornets first score came at 7:15 of the second quarter when #20, Jamal Miller, emerged from a sea of Wildcat jerseys and hurled a pin point, desperation pass to #21, Jeremie Groves ( 69 rush, 91 rec, 10 ret - 170 yds and 2 TD's for the game) who then blew past everybody on the field for an 81 yard TD. The Hornet's defense, who were without their defensive standout, Maurice Thomas, was led by #51, Other scores in this one sided game came on a 57 yard TD catch by Lake View's Jeremy Gipson, a 20 yard run by Jamal Miller and a 1 yd TD run by Marvel Tate for Foreman. by John Fox
