Bio: Was the first Black coach in NFL history with the Akron Pros in 1921. Led Brown University to the Rose Bowl in 1915. Became a pro football player after serving in WW I.
Pro Career: Played on and off in the NFL from 1919 to 1925. Was a big part of the NFL's first chapionship team the Akron Pros in 1920.
Played with Akron Pros/Indians 1919-1921, 1925-1926, the Milwaukee Badgers 1922, the Hammond Pros 1923 & 1925 , the Gilberton Cadamounts (independent pro team) 1923-1924, and in 1925 with the Providence Steam Roller.
