56-50 win overPlanoin 3 OTs. The Comets didn't just stick it out and win a triple overtime game, they climbed back from a 34-12 deficit with under 2 minutes left in the game. After scoring with 1:37 left to play, the Comets recovered 2 onside kicks (Pete Sekalias, recovered both onside kicks as well as scoring on two of the 3 tying touchdowns) scoring on both to tie the game at 34-34 before winning in three overtimes.

After losing their starting running back David Godfrey, 3 minutes into the game, then falling behind 27-14 at the half, the Bulldogs of St. Teresa pulled through & came back to win 28-27 overArgenta (A.-Oreana). While limiting A-O's star running back Quartus Stitt to only 109 yards in the second half doesn't sound like a good way to win a game. The Bulldogs managed to score twice in the second half while keeping Stitt (who had all 4 A-O TDs plus 221 yards rushing) & the rest of the Bombers, from crossing the endzone after the intermission to pull off an upset victory.
