1A Quarter-finals vs.Cambridge12-0
Chiefs Get Beat at Their Own Game Mackinaw - The Chiefs enter the 1A Playoffs with the states stingiest defense, giving up just over 3 points a game & have allowed only 55 all season including the first two rounds of the playoffs, the Vikings however would change all that. Cambridge looked like they could be in for a long & painful ride as running back Casey Happach went down holding his knee on their first possession. But after holding the Chiefs on defense Cambridge came back and Kyle Morey shot down field for a 57 yard TD run to put the Vikings up 7-0. The rest of the game would be more or less all Cambridge as they beat Dee-Mack at their own game of tough defense. Morey would finish the night with 2 TDs the other a 74 yarder with just 41 seconds left in the half. Eric Leander, however would get player of the game status as he busted out rushing for two TDs of 39 & 6 yards while picking off 2 Chief's passes. One of which her returned just shy of a score on the Dee-Mack 2 yard line, setting up Matt Jacobs for a 4 yard plunge to bring the game score to 41-0 and starting the running clock against the #1 seeded Chiefs with 4;53 left in the 3rd. Dan Abbott would score the Chief's only points of the game on a 5 yard run as time expired in the 3rd. by Vincent Johnson
