Playoff Chances Increase For Clinton

Clinton - The Maroons came out strong to post a win at Monticello. Clinton will need to win final 2 games to make the playoffs.

J.W. Sheering and Ontario Sneed led Clinton past Monticello in an Okaw Valley Conference contest at Monticello.

Sheering finished the game with 63 yards rushing and 108 yards passing from his quarterback position. On defense, he had 18 tackles and two interceptions.

Sneed rushed for 208 yards as Clinton improved to 3-4, both overall and in the conference. Tyler Monkman added 68 yards on receptions for the Maroons.

Monticello falls to 2-5.

"Our offensive line dominated all night," said Clinton coach Josh Johnson. "J.W. Sheering and Ontario Sneed did a great job."
