South Wins Civil War

Lansing - The T.F. South opened the game with the ball and drove to within the 25 only to be stopped by the Meteor defense. Spezza kicked the Field Goal.

TF North then scored two quick TD's one in the 1st one in the 2nd quarter to head into the half leading the rebels from TF South 14-3.

Sophomore QB Joe Rizzi would lead the Rebels down the field on passes to Ray Howard and a TD pass to senior Mike Pesseto. Rizzi would also connected to Senior Taurus Manuel in a 23 yard TD pass in the third, to put the Rebels up 17-14.

The Rebels never looked back from there as they finished the deal with a 28 yard TD run by Senior Lance Jones.

The 21 unanswered points by the Rebel offense in the second half was enough to lift them past their rivals to the North. The Rebel defense allowed only one 1st down after the 1st half of play.

Next week the rebels take on rival Richards in the first of their 7 conference games.
