MacArthur Rally Falls Short

Bloomington lead Decatur Macarthur 21-0 at the the half.

Macarthur shut out Bloomington during the third quarter with a stellar defense while managing to get on the scoreboard themselves.  Macarthur scored again with a little over two minutes left in the game to make the score 21-14.  

The attempted onside kick was recovered by Bloomington on their own 40 yd. line.  Bloomington's Darrelynn Dunn got the hand-off and went straight up the middle for a 60 yd. run to ice the game for the Bloomington Purple Raiders.  

The game wasn't pretty as Decatur was penalized for a total of 60 yards while Bloomington was penalized for a total of 80 yds.  Bloomington's offense gained a total of 324 yards, while Decatur Macarthur gained 271 yds.
