at numbers and stats from around the state.
Week #10

by the ten teams who've been in the playoffs making the playoffs consistently
over that period of time. Those schools are;Bloomington (HS),Chicago (Mt. Carmel),
DuQuoin,Hardin (Calhoun)
,
Kankakee (McNamara)
,
Lincolnshire
(Stevenson),
McHenry ,Monmouth
(M.-Roseville) ,
Mt. Carmel,
Oak Lawn (Richards)
& Rushville .
Wheaton (W.
Warrenville South),
Chicago
(Mather) &
Orland Park (Sandburg)
are three more teams that would have made this list had they made the
playoffs.

with 19. DuQuoin's run of 19 playoff appearances is also the same of
their total number of playoff appearances.

Forest (L.F. Academy)(6-3) who is not eligible for the IHSA playoffs.

right other teams lost their games, then becoming the conference champ
are; Wheeling,Hoffman Estates
(H.S.),Streator
(Woodland),Winnebago ,
Wauconda,
Westville ,
Chicago
(Flower Vocational).
Wheeling has probably the most impossible chance. They would have to
knock off both Big 30 ranked #11Buffalo Grove& 2001 7A Champs #16 Mt.
Prospect (Prospect)
as well as hope those two teams choked the rest of their games. Others
might argue that the long shot award goes to Streator (Woodland), not
that they have any ranked teams for their remaining games (the teams
they face are a combined 7-11), but still as of week 6 they have yet
to score a point.
