2. (2) Wheaton (W. Warrenville South) (2-0) 35-0 overAurora (Waubonsie Valley)(1-1) Tigers d plays strong coming up with 2 INTs, Dierking runs for 124 & 2 TDs, QB michael Highland passes for 111.
3. (3)Chicago (Mt. Carmel)(2-0), 61-6 over Chicago (Hales Franciscan)(0-2) Caravan overwhelm Spartans.
4. (4) Springfield (S.H.G.) (2-0) 52-6 over Springfield (H.S.) (0-2) Cyclones pour on the offense as they continue their quest to repeat as 5A State Champs.
5. (5) Mt. Prospect (Prospect) (1-1) 17-13 loss to Palatine (Fremd) (1-1) Vikings stun 7A Champ Knights.
6. (6) Edwardsville (H.S.) (2-0) 62-8 over Chicago (Corliss) (0-2) Corliss's bus ride back to Chicago got even longer after Tigers beating.
7. (8)Chicago (St. Rita)(2-0) 34-0 over Chicago (St. Ignatius) (1-1) Mustangs show that a strong defense is one of the reasons they're in the BIG 30.
8. (9) Naperville (North) (1-1) 21-14 loss to #13 Libertyville (2-0) Huskies drop a close one to a Libertyville team that may be a little under rated.
9. (12) Mundelein (Carmel) (2-0) 49-6 over Mundelein (H.S.) (0-2) Corsairs show no mercy on their public school rival.
10. (13) Normal (Community) (2-0) 23-0 overBloomington (HS)(1-1) Ironmen have won 3 in a row against the Purple Raiders now.
11. (14)Chicago (Brother Rice)(2-0) 31-7 over Kankakee (McNamara) (1-1) Crusaders leave no chance for an upset with cross divisional Irish.
12. (19) Harvey (Thornton) (1-1) 33-12 loss to Lockport (Twp.) (2-0) Porters got that 2003 feeling again, as they jump out to a 26-5 lead over top ranked Wildcats.
13. (22) Libertyville (2-0) 21-14 over #8 Naperville (North) (1-1) Wildcats returning to old form after less than normal 2005 season.
14. (10)Barrington(1-1) 42-0 over Elk Grove Village (E.G.) (0-2) Broncos bounce back from last weeks defeat with a steamroller of a victory.
15. (15) Naperville (Neuqua Valley) (1-1) 41-7 over r Plainfield (Central) (0-2) Neuqua Valley shows why they're still in the BIG 30.
16. (23)Cary (C.-Grove)(2-0) 48-6 over Crystal Lake (Prairie Ridge) (1-1) Trojans have scores 95 points so far this year in 2 games.

18. (18) Joliet (Catholic) (0-2) 27-21 loss to Morris (1-1) Hilltoppers lose 2 straight to Morris & in the season.
19. (16) Park Ridge (Maine South) (0-2) 28-22 loss to Gurnee (Warren) (2-0) Unranked Blue Devils surprise everyone but themselves.
20. (20)Belleville (Althoff) (2-0) 33-7 overBelleville (West)(1-1) Althoff show it can take down bigger schools.
21. (25) Oak Lawn (Richards) (2-0) 14-7 over Chicago (Morgan Park) (0-2) Richards plays a close game with a Mustangs' team that is better than the 0-2 record shows.
22. (29)Bolingbrook(2-0) 44-20 over Chicago (Simeon)(0-2) Raiders show why they're in our BIG 30 as they take down an underrated Simeon team.
23. (NR) Geneva (2-0), 55-0 over South Elgin (0-2) First year South Elgin teams gets no love from the Vikings on a mission to be recognized.
24. (NR) East St. Louis (Sr.) (2-0), 39-0 over Columbia (Hickman), Flyers start off 2-0 and get ready for conference play in week #3.
25. (26) Cahokia(1-1) 20-8 loss to Alton (Sr.)(2-0)Cahokia drops it's first actual game, as it had to play on the road after a it's field was storm damaged. Comanches travel to Gary, In. for week #3 & Marion for Week #4 before playing a home game.

26. (17)New Lenox (Lincoln Way Central)(1-1) 17-15 over Orland Park (Sandburg) (1-1) Some fans are already claiming that the 2 Southwest Suburban conferences (Red) & (Blue) may be one of the toughest in the state.

27. (NR) Addison (Addison Trail) (1-1) 35-7 loss to Elmhurst (York)(1-1) Blazers make a quick appearance in the BIG 30, before most likely bowing out in week #3.
28. (11) Lemont (H.S.) (0-2), 22-19 loss to #29 Sterling (H.S.) We said Lemont may have the toughest schedule in the state. The good news is with the teams they're playing most likely going 9-0 or 8-1, Lemont can rely on it's playoff points to get them a good seed in their playoff bracket.
29. (NR) Sterling (H.S.) (2-0) 22-19 over #28 Lemont (H.S.) (0-2) Sterling pulls out a win in a close one with a Lemont team trying to get a break with it's tough schedule.
30. (NR) Metamora (2-0) 44-0 over Washington (1-1) Redbirds fly past Washington
